The Last Goodbye by The Kills. directed by Samantha Morton Helms.

2 things i like in one - photo booth + black & white.

a very facial expression/emotion driven music video. when i just watch the video without reading the ‘direction’ behind, i didn’t connect with the expression/art direction of the video. only after reading it n replay the video tht i felt it being beautiful.

nonetheless, it is beautifully framed and both of them are amazing as a duo. one can feel the chemistry between them.

beautiful portrait, amazing piece of music. well done jamie n alison.

Ethan Murrow

stumble upon this artist few weeks back when i was around chelsea neighborhood for a voice recording session. exhibited in Winston Wachter gallery from april 16 - may 23. i’m very very impressed by his work tht are mostly drawn with pencil strokes. look at all the amazingly rich details and the different level of black shades he can create!!!! VERY IMPRESSIVE! and mostly, i admire A LOT of how he can draw the strokes in so many different ways tht make the outcome look amazingly beautiful.

“The Women project lead us to India during the Holi, also called the Festival of Colors, is a popular Hindu spring festival. Holi is celebrated by people throwing colored powder and colored water at each other. JR created white posters with adhesive surimpression that reveal the eyes of the women with the dust of the city, and on that day through the colors in the air…”
